With Rio rapidly approaching on the horizon, all eyes are soon to turn to the UAE, where the world\u2019s best triathletes will once again compete to lay down their intentions for 2016 season. On 4-5\u00a0March, the Abu Dhabi Corniche will see the world\u2019s elite, including several Olympic contenders, grace it\u2019s warm waters and sweltering tarmac.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last year proved nail-biting, as the men kicked off the season in style by taking it down to the climax of the run. Mario Mola sealed his second series title, and with half of the top 10 men heralding from the Iberian Peninsula, many eyes this year will be on the lads from Spain. Gwen Jorgenson unleashed a dominating run to end victorious in the women\u2019s race, and the field looks to be equally tough for the Brits his year.<\/p>\n

The Great Britain contingent\u00a0include Tom Bishop\u00a0and\u00a0Adam Bowden\u00a0in the mens and\u00a0Helen Jenkins\u00a0and\u00a0Jodie Stimpson\u00a0for the women\u2019s race.<\/p>\n

Over the coming seven months, the series is set to travel across nine venues, spanning five continents, before culminating in the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final in Cozumel.<\/p>\n
