{"id":7522,"date":"2021-03-13T20:49:50","date_gmt":"2021-03-13T20:49:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportsnewsforyou.com\/?p=7522"},"modified":"2021-03-13T20:49:50","modified_gmt":"2021-03-13T20:49:50","slug":"alpe-dhuez-video-all-the-race-action-from-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/googmn.com\/?p=7522","title":{"rendered":"Alpe D\u2019Huez video: all the race action from 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>With the dust barely settled on 2018\u2019s Tour de France, it was triathlon\u2019s turn to take on cycling\u2019s most famous climb in early August at the Time Alpe d\u2019Huez Triathlon, a legendary triathlon that we named 9th best, must-do, triathlon in the world\u00a0and 9th toughest short-distance tri \u00a0in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>    Advertisement<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Held since 2006, the Long Course version of the race (there\u2019s also a \u2018Short\u2019 edition and duathlon on offer) swiftly became a bucket list triathlon to rank alongside Escape from Alcatraz, the Norseman and Challenge Roth.<\/p>\n<p>It commences with a 2.2km swim in Lac du Vernay, the EDF-owned lake that\u2019s opened once a year to swimmers for the event.
