Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing talented Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old impressed in the 2017\/18 Bundesliga season scoring nine goals in 30 appearances.<\/p>\n
He has attracted a lot of attention from some of Europe\u2019s top clubs.<\/p>\n
Bailey\u2019s agent, and stepfather, Craig Butler, told SportBild that a number of clubs, including Chelsea, have come forward for him.<\/p>\n
The winger has been particularly frustrated this season with his lack of starting opportunities at Leverkusen.<\/p>\n

Bailey grew up in Kingston, Jamaica where he played for the Phoenix All-Star Academy that was operated by his stepfather, Craig Butler.<\/p>\n
His family moved to Europe in 2011 to try and find a club for him and he impressed a number of teams.<\/p>\n
However, because he was only 15 at the time it created problems in signing a contract.<\/p>\n
Bailey initially signed a contract with AS Trencin, who play in Slovakia, before going on to join Genk in 2015.<\/p>\n
In two seasons with the Belgian club he scored 16 goals in 77 games.<\/p>\n
Despite Premier League interest, the 21-year-old joined Leverkusen for a reported fee of \u20ac20million.<\/p>\n
A source told ESPN that Bailey has aspirations to be one of the world\u2019s top players and was getting frustrated with being left on the bench at Leverkusen.<\/p>\n
He was reportedly going to consider his options at the club if the situation didn\u2019t improve.<\/p>\n
President of the Jamaica Football Association, Michael Ricketts, accused Bailey of having an attitude problem.<\/p>\n
The winger has yet to represent the country of his birth, leaving the door open for him to possibly switch allegiance further down the line.<\/p>\n
Bailey was called up to the squad in October but failed to make his competitive debut after his brother did not receive a call-up.<\/p>\n
He has been called the \u201cheir to Arjen Robben\u201d because of his abilities on the right wing.<\/p>\n
