This is coming off the heels of the tryout camp held at WWE&#8217;s developmental facility in Tampa this past weekend.<\/p>\n<p>April had been wrestling for several independent promotions in the Tri-State Region including National Wrestling Superstars and Women Superstars Unleashed.<\/p>\n<p>National Wrestling Superstars issued the following press release this morning:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;National Wrestling Superstars management along with the entire locker room sends congratulations to Miss April on her WWE contract. April, who was the winner (along with TNA\u2019s Jay Lethal) of the NWS King &amp; Queen Tournament just this past April has been a bright note on the indy scene where women have a hard time competing with men for the spotlight April, along with her partner Brooke Carter, won the WSU tag team titles from Roxxie Cotton and Annie Social at an NWS event held in Edison this past February.
