Gary Neville is sceptical about the current Manchester United squad despite the fact the Red Devils have won their last seven games.<\/p>\n
Their 2-1 victory over Brighton on Saturday ensured caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continued his 100 per cent winning start since replacing Jose Mourinho in December.<\/p>\n
It’s the best start any United manager has made in the history of the club and there’s a new-found optimism at Old Trafford as the Red Devils are now just three points off the top four.<\/p>\n
Speaking on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio, Neville was full of praise for Solskjaer’s work.<\/p>\n
However, Neville has not been fully won over by United’s form and questioned the commitment of the same players who were unable to replicate the same form towards the end of Jose Mourinho’s reign.<\/p>\n
Neville said: “I think when he [Solskjaer] came in, the club couldn\u2019t have been any lower in terms of expectation, there was a bad feeling around the club.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s done an incredible job, he\u2019s put himself in the frame and he keeps on winning. I think it\u2019s the best start for any Manchester United manager in the history of the club. It\u2019s unbelievable really.<\/p>\n
“The Manchester United players at the end were obviously not trying for Mourinho as they just switched the tap on and off. The difference is incredible but I must admit I have my doubts about those group of players.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s that they can just switch on and off like a tap, it doesn\u2019t fill me with confidence that they can take Manchester United back to the title but what they are doing at least is performing to their capabilities.”<\/p>\n
