In a letter to PTO the CEO of WTC, Andrew Messick, said\u00a0\u201cI have discussed\u00a0your letter with my Board. While we appreciate your interest, we are not prepared to\u00a0engage in a discussion around a sale at this point.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>    Advertisement<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>On 20 September the PTO sent a letter to Wanda\u00a0proposing \u201cto enter into discussions\u00a0for the acquisition by the PTO of all of the assets of the Wanda Sports Group Company\u00a0Limited (\u2018WSG\u2019) related to its worldwide triathlon and mass participation business (the \u2018WTC Triathlon-MP Business\u2019)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The PTO responded to this statement with a letter to Ironman, saying: \u201cPlease be advised that the PTO will continue to implement its strategy for self-determination\u00a0successfully followed by professional athletes in other sports such as golf\u00a0and tennis, and we plan on moving forward with acquiring and operating events in the\u00a0space to celebrate the sport we are so passionate about. Rest assured that our plan is not\u00a0mutually exclusive and our proposal to enter into discussions to acquire the WTC\u00a0Triathlon-MP Business remains open.
