A supporter of Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore (R) praised him at a rally on Friday, calling\u00a0the former state Supreme Court chief justice\u00a0\u201ca man beyond reproach\u201d and comparing him to the Founding Fathers.<\/p>\n
“He is the closest thing to a Founding Father that we have seen in our lifetimes,” Jennifer Case said at a \u201cWomen for Roy Moore\u201d rally outside the Alabama state Capitol.<\/p>\n
Case was one of several speakers at the event, including Moore\u2019s wife Kayla, who said Moore would not step down from the Alabama Senate race in the face of mounting sexual misconduct allegations.<\/p>\n

“After all the attacks against me, against my family, against the Foundation and against my husband, he will not step down,” Kayla Moore said at a press conference following the rally.<\/p>\n
She also said that President Trump owes the Moores a \u201cthank you\u201d for taking up the media spotlight in recent weeks.<\/p>\n
\u201cI personally think [Trump] owes us a thank you,\u201d Moore said. \u201cHave you noticed you are not\u00a0hearing too much about Russia?\u00a0To the president I would say now is a good time\u00a0to get things done in Congress.\u201d<\/p>\n
Multiple women have accused Roy Moore of sexual misconduct in recent weeks, including one woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 16 and another who said Moore initiated a sexual encounter with her when she was 14 and he was 32.<\/p>\n
