With the domestic season set to begin again, Goal takes a look at the new strips each major European club will be sporting during the 2018-19 campaign <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Puma<\/span> <\/p>\n AC Milan have parted ways with Adidas for 2018-19 and, for the first time ever, Puma are the manufacturers of the club's new kits.<\/p>\n Naturally, the Serie A giants retain their iconic red and black stripes, but there are some slight alterations in style, with a button-up collar being incorporated.<\/p>\n The 'Diavolo Rossonero' (Red and Black Devil) features on the back of the neck as a tribute to the club's founder Herber Kilbin, who once said his team would be "a team of devils. We'll be red like the flames that will animate our souls and black like the fear our opponents will feel."<\/p>\n Adidas\/Ajax<\/span> <\/p>\n Ajax's home kit for the 2018-19 campaign retains the club's traditional red and white design, with a vertical red stripe flanked by white on either side of the chest and back. <\/p>\n Adidas' famous three stripes occupy the shoulders and they are red in colour, while Amsterdam's iconic trio of St Andrew's crosses are present on the back of the neck.<\/p>\n Ajax launched their new away kit on their social media channels at the end of April, asking their fans to give it a rating from one to 10.<\/p>\n The reaction was largely positive, with supporters mostly praising the new dark away jersey.<\/p>\n Puma<\/span> <\/p>\n Arsenal's first home shirt since the departure of Arsene Wenger features red stripes on the white sleeves, as well as a diamond pattern on the front of the strip.<\/p>\n White shorts and socks complete the kit.<\/p>\n Arsenal.com<\/span> <\/p>\n The Gunners have gone for a two-tone navy blue and red jersey for their away games next season – quite a change from last season's lighter effort.<\/p>\n The shorts are a blend of the two colours, while the socks are mostly navy blue with a red stripe on the top.<\/p>\n Arsenal<\/span> <\/p>\n The Gunners' third jersey is described as a "modern green" with navy badges and logos that is reminiscent of their 1982-83 kit.<\/p>\n The shorts and socks are the same colour, while the large W across the front combines with the M on the away jersey to form a tribute to the WM formation of the 1930s.<\/p>\n Atletico Madrid\/Nike<\/span> <\/p>\n The Europa League holders's new kit continues the traditional them of red and whit stripes as the Rojiblancos look for an improved campaign in both La Liga and the Champions League under Diego Simeone. <\/p>\n The new Barcelona strip features the iconic blue and garnet-coloured stripes, with the shirt designed to unite the 10 districts of the city of Barcelona.<\/p>\n Ernesto Valverde's side displayed the kit for the first time in their Liga finale against Sociedad.<\/p>\n Nike\/FC Barcelona<\/span> <\/p>\n Barcelona's new away kit for 2018-19 takes its inspiration from that worn by the swashbuckling side of 2005-06 – featuring the likes of Ronaldinho, Deco and Samuel Eto'o – that swept to Liga and Champions League glory that season. <\/p>\n It is a striking yellow colour and strips of the famous blaugrana can be found on the sleeves.<\/p>\n Adidas<\/span> <\/p>\n Bundesliga winners Bayern will again wear their trademark red shirt and shorts, as well as marine blue shorts.<\/p>\n The new shoulder stripes pay homage to the treble winning side of 2012-13, when Jupp Heynckes guided the Bavarians to the domestic double and the Champions League.<\/p>\n adidas<\/span> <\/p>\n Bayern Munich have released their third kit, which is part of adidas's 'Parley x' collaboration and is grey steel in colour. <\/p>\n The new Borussia Dortmund home kit is predominantly yellow, as you'd expect, with the chest area of the jersey solidly so.<\/p>\n A v-neck collar is incorporated and black adorns the sleeves with a thick yellow stripe breaking through.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n New Balance<\/span> <\/p>\n Celtic's new shirt is manufactured by New Balance and features a tartan design in the green sections. "For more than 10 years I have had the honour of pulling on the famous Celtic jersey," captain Scott Brown said. "I can’t wait to play in this new kit."<\/p>\n Celtic FC<\/span> <\/p>\n Celtic's away kit for the 2018-19 season is predominantly white with green featuring on the shoulders, as well as the New Balance and sponsor's logos.<\/p>\n The club have taken the bold decision to use a different badge on the away kit – a Celtic cross – which is a strong tribute to their connection with Ireland.<\/p>\n However, their Scottish identity also features in a subtle tonal tartan design, which is woven into the white of the shirt.<\/p>\n Chelsea FC\/Nike<\/span> <\/p>\n The 2018-19 season will see Chelsea remain in their famous royal blue, but with flourishes of red and white half-stripes added to the shirt.<\/p>\n The blue shorts and white socks, with a blue and red trim, are inspired by strips from the 1980s and 1990s.<\/p>\n Nike\/Chelsea FC<\/span> <\/p>\n The Blues will wear yellow on their travels this season, with Nike keen to commemorate the club's history.<\/p>\n The club regularly wore yellow during the 1960s and 70s, but have not had such a kit since 2014-15, when the club won the Premier League.<\/p>\n Nike claim the new kit is about "celebrating the club’s past moments through a modern energy as they usher in a new era", and " is engineered for speed, with body-mapped fabric releasing excess heat and Ultralight quick-dry construction to allow to move at full speed".<\/p>\n Everton's new strip is manufactured by Umbro, who collaborated with supporters in the process of selecting the design.<\/p>\n As is customary, the Toffees will wear their famous royal blue with white trim.<\/p>\n The 2018-19 Galatasaray strip returns to the club's traditional half-and-half design, following a spell with less conventional kits.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Nike<\/span> <\/p>\n It's much of the same when it come's to Inter's new kit, with the black stripes and black sleeves pierced by the royal blue background.<\/p>\n The Milanese symbol il Biscione<\/em> (a grass snake) is represented in the design with what Nike describes as a "serpent-like pattern rising up the club's quintessential stripes."<\/p>\n Getty<\/span> <\/p>\n In keeping with tradition, Inter's away kit is white, with the club's iconic nerazzurri<\/em> colours featuring on the collar.<\/p>\n Like the home kit, a serpent-like design is incorporated as a nod to the Milanese biscione<\/em> (or vipera<\/em>), which is a well-known emblem of the city.<\/p>\n Nike<\/span> <\/p>\n Inspired by Milan’s iconic Duomo, Inter's latest offering is "rich in local heritage and history".<\/p>\n The Serie A side say their change strip for on the road includes "a distorted map of Milan city center within a swirling marbled graphic".<\/p>\n Juventus' new kit for 2018-19, made by Adidas, features thicker vertical stripes than recent seasons but the team's customary three stars above their crest remain. Adidas<\/span> <\/p>\n The new away kit of the Serie A champions – which is a pastel sand colour – combines style and maximum wearability, suitable for the stadium and the street. Adidas<\/span> <\/p>\n Following the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus have released their third shirt which is dark grey in colour and with a bold yellow trim.<\/p>\n The shirt has been made entirely from Ocean Plastic as part of the collaboration between adidas and Parley Ocean Plastic, in support of the movement to end marine plastic pollution.<\/p>\n Liverpool FC<\/span> <\/p>\n Liverpool's New Balance home kit for the 2018-19 campaign retains the popular pepper red colouring and pays tribute to the victims of the Hillsborough disaster by including the eternal flame on the neck of the shirt. New Balance<\/span> <\/p>\n Jurgen Klopp's side will wear a deep violet shirt when playing away from Anfield next season, with the kit including homages to the club's new Main Stand and those that died in the Hillsborough disaster.<\/p>\n The last time the Merseyside outfit wore a similar colour came in 2013-14 when their third kit included purple and they finished second in the Premier League – can they go one better next term?<\/p>\n Adidas\/Lyon<\/span> <\/p>\n Lyon will be hoping that their new home kit for 2018-19 can be a lucky charm in 2018-19 as they return to a design that is more akin to their kits of old.<\/p>\n It is predominantly white, but the red and blue has migrated from the centre of the jersey to the top, with red featuring on the shoulders, with a slimmer blue line underneath.<\/p>\n Adidas\/Lyon<\/span> <\/p>\n In their away kit for 2018-19, Lyon have reverted to a solid blue tone, with strips of red – Adidas' famous three stripes – lining either side of the torso.<\/p>\n A diamond design is incorporated into the fabric, calling to mind the design of the club's new stadium.<\/p>\n Manchester City<\/span> <\/p>\n Manchester City have revealed a kit which commemorates the club's first ever title triumph in 1937. <\/p>\n In the club's iconic blue colour, the new strip has speed blur stripes along the arms and shoulders, along with a button detail on the collar, with navy socks and white shorts completing the kit.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Manchester City\/Nike<\/span> <\/p>\n Manchester City have launched a commemorative away kit for the 2018-19 season.<\/p>\n Drawing inspiration from a key moment in the club’s history, the away kit features a dark blue shirt with field blue and luminous yellow pin stripes down the front and back, alongside dark blue shorts.<\/p>\n Design creative comes from the 1998-99 away shirt which was worn when city memorably beat Gillingham in the Second Division play-off final at Wembley to make an immediate return to Division One. Adidas<\/span> <\/p>\n United's bold new shirt features black stripes along the midriff and on the shoulders in a commemoration of the founding of the club.<\/p>\n The stripes are described as a "train track graphic" by the club's official press release, which is a reference to United's original name; Newton Heath (Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway) Cricket and Football Club.<\/p>\n The club were founded in 1878, 140 years ago, and started off by playing against other rail companies.<\/p>\n Adidas<\/span> <\/p>\n The Red Devils will be wearing pink on their travels for the first time, with the club's latest kit paying homage to the 'Football Pink' publication of the Manchester Evening News. The new shirt offers "a modern and fresh look designed to be worn both in the stadium and on the street". manutd.com<\/span> <\/p>\n Manchester United's retro third strip is inspired by the royal blue worn by the club when they won the 1968 European Cup. The kit will be worn for the first time on the club's pre-season tour of the United States. Goal<\/span> <\/p>\n Marseille will line out in Puma gear in 2018-19 and they will be hopeful that the new look can inspire them on to greater heights.<\/p>\n The home kit is predominantly white, with sky blue on the shoulders and collar, but there is a curious contrast with the vibrant orange of new sponsor Orange.<\/p>\n The Puma logo, meanwhile, is gold, which is a nod to the club badge, which features a golden star.<\/p>\n Goal<\/span> <\/p>\n As noted, Les Phoceens will tog out in Puma apparel this season and their away kit is mostly sky blue, with darker tones on the collar, badge and manufacturer's logo. The sponsor, Orange, provides a strong contrast of white. Nike\/AS Monaco<\/span> <\/p>\n Nike continue to make Monaco's kits for the 2018-19 season and their home offering retains the iconic diagonal design.<\/p>\n There is less red than before, with white returning to the shoulders, but Nike have incorporated a subtle graphic into that part of the jersey.<\/p>\n Newcastle Utd<\/span> <\/p>\n The Magpies have stuck with their classic black and white striped style for their home jersey with solid black shorts and white socks.<\/p>\n The stripes are narrower than previous Newcastle shirts, while the player names and numbers will be in red.<\/p>\n Paris Saint-Germain have continued to refresh their traditional design, though hardcore fans will be disappointed to see the complete disappearance of the club's traditional white band on the front of their kit.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Real Madrid\/Adidas<\/span> <\/p>\n Real Madrid's iconic white home shirt has been altered slightly for 2018-19, with black replacing the striking turquoise blue on the Adidas shoulder stripes and the sponsor's logo. As well as that, a buttoned collar has returned.<\/p>\n As the reigning Club World Cup winners, the gold logo denoting their status as global champions remains for a second season in succession.<\/p>\n The design recalls the kit worn by Los Blancos<\/em> in 2002, when they won La Novena<\/em>.<\/p>\n Real Madrid\/Adidas<\/span> <\/p>\n Real Madrid's away kit for 2018-19 is not much of a departure from the previous season's, but, like the home version, the turquoise colour has been ditched from the design.<\/p>\n The chief colour is metallic black, while the Adidas stripes, which feature on the shoulders, and the collar are a slightly lighter grey. The sponsor and manufacturer's logos are white, which contrasts boldly against the black.<\/p>\n As with the home kit, the golden Club World Cup symbol features on the chest.<\/p>\n @realmadriden<\/span> <\/p>\n The Champions League winners' alternate change strip has been announced for 2018-19, with Karim Benzema the man chosen to model the new shirt on the Merengue's social media.<\/p>\n Madrid will sport a fiery orange kit when necessary in the coming season, with the club's badge and sponsors contrasting in clear white. <\/p>\n Nike<\/span> <\/p>\n The base of Roma's 2018-19 home kit is formed by 'Lorica Hamata', the chainmail armor worn by soldiers in ancient Rome, as a way of displaying 'the unbreakable bond between the club, the city and the fans'.
