{"id":4355,"date":"2020-03-10T13:09:13","date_gmt":"2020-03-10T13:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportsnewsforyou.com\/?p=4355"},"modified":"2024-12-17T11:34:52","modified_gmt":"2024-12-17T11:34:52","slug":"finance-ministers-approve-e4bn-for-greece","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/googmn.com\/?p=4355","title":{"rendered":"Finance ministers approve \u20ac4bn for Greece"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Click:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gas-torch.net\/product-category\/butane-torch-lighter\/filling-torch\/\">filling torch<\/a><\/p>\n<figure class=\"art\"><\/figure>\n<header>\n<h1>Finance ministers approve \u20ac4bn for Greece<\/h1>\n<p class=\"subhead\">Further loans will be granted in August and October subject to the implementation of reforms; Olli Rehn issues Slovenia warning; IMF says eurozone still vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p>Click Here: <a href='https:\/\/www.kankenbags.com\/cheap-kanken-backpack\/fjallraven-kanken-art-spring-landscape-backpacks' title='Fjallraven Kanken Art Spring Landscape Backpacks'>Fjallraven Kanken Art Spring Landscape Backpacks<\/a><br \/>\n                    <\/header>\n<footer class=\"meta\">\n<p class=\"byline\">European Voice<\/p>\n<\/footer>\n<footer class=\"meta\">\n<p>\n\t\t\tBy\t\t\t<span class=\"byline\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"vcard\">Ian Wishart<\/span>\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"timestamp\">7\/8\/13, 3:40 PM CET<\/p>\n<p class=\"updated\">Updated 4\/13\/14, 1:35 AM CET<\/p>\n<\/footer>\n<p>Eurozone finance ministers tonight (8 July) agreed to grant Greece another part of its bail-out \u2013 but stopped short of disbursing the full instalment in one go.<\/p>\n<p>Greece will get \u20ac4 billion from the eurozone\u2019s rescue fund by the end of this month and a further \u20ac1bn in October subject to the implementation of reforms, including improvements in tax collection and a reduction in the size of the public sector. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSignificant further work is needed over the next weeks to fully implement all prior actions required for the next disbursement,\u201d said Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the finance minister of the Netherlands who chaired tonight\u2019s meeting. <\/p>\n<p>The agreement followed this morning\u2019s conclusion of week-long negotiations in Athens between the Greek government and the \u2018troika\u2019 of Greece\u2019s international lenders \u2013 the European Commission, European Central Bank (ECB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF).<\/p>\n<p>The troika has been dissatisfied at the pace of reform in Greece and warned that many of its economic and structural reform targets were off track.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEnsuring a rapid and full implementation of all the remaining reform measures, including the prior actions, is essential for mitigating risks to the [bail-out] programme and for bringing about sustained growth and employment and for securing the sustainability of public finances,\u201d Dijsselbloem said after tonight\u2019s meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Greece will get a loan of \u20ac2.5bn this month and a further \u20ac500 million in October, subject to the implementation of reforms. On top of this the country will get \u20ac1.5bn from the ECB\u2019s special arrangement of giving the profits of its holdings of Greek bonds, and \u20ac0.5 in October. The IMF is expected to approve a loan of \u20ac1.8bn in August.<\/p>\n<p>The latest disbursements follow the loan of \u20ac3.3bn granted by the eurozone\u2019s rescue fund, the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) last month, which brought the total level of lending to \u20ac131bn, out of the agreed total of \u20ac145bn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is time to keep up the momentum of reform,\u201d said Olli Rehn, the European commissioner for economic and monetary affairs and the euro, who also attended tonight\u2019s meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Rehn also had words of warning for Slovenia following today\u2019s talks. He said that the remarks he made in April that problems in the country\u2019s banking sector were \u201cserious, but manageable if urgent action is taken\u201d, still held true. But now, he added, \u201cthe clock is ticking\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the IMF, also attended this evening\u2019s meeting, delivering her organisation\u2019s latest assessment of the state of the eurozone.<\/p>\n<p>She said that progress in shoring up the currency\u2019s fragility had been made over the past year, yet \u201cillusive\u201d growth and rising unemployment \u201cleaves the euro area vulnerable\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She called on eurozone member states to complete a banking union as soon as possible and said that a fully fledged single bank resolution mechanism, expected to be proposed by the Commission on Wednesday (10 July), was vital.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<footer class=\"content-credits\">\n<h6>Authors:<\/h6>\n<dl class=\"vcard\">\n<dt class=\"credits-author\"><span class=\"vcard\">Ian Wishart<\/span>&nbsp;<\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<\/footer>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click:filling torch Finance ministers approve \u20ac4bn for Greece Further loans will be granted in August and October subject to the implementation of reforms; Olli Rehn issues Slovenia warning; IMF says eurozone still vulnerable.
