{"id":4111,"date":"2020-02-25T13:52:19","date_gmt":"2020-02-25T13:52:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportsnewsforyou.com\/?p=4111"},"modified":"2020-02-25T13:52:19","modified_gmt":"2020-02-25T13:52:19","slug":"report-2019-oscars-will-have-no-host","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/googmn.com\/?p=4111","title":{"rendered":"Report: 2019 Oscars will Have No Host"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The\u00a0Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is reportedly moving ahead with a host-less 2019 Oscars following the messy ouster of A-list actor-comedian Kevin Hart over the resurfacing of homophobic jokes.<\/h2>\n<p>According to <em>Variety<\/em>, the award show&#8217;s producers want several high-profile actors and actresses &#8212; who have yet to be determined &#8212; to introduce one or more segments throughout the award show, rather than a host keep the ceremony moving along for its entire duration.<\/p>\n<p>Reports of the all-but-settled-Oscars format follow speculation that Hart, at the encouragement of daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, would reclaim his hosting role &#8212; a move the <em>Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle<\/em> star decided against last week.<\/p>\n<p>In an emotional interview last Friday,\u00a0DeGeneres revealed to Hart that she lobbied the Academy for him to be brought back.<\/p>\n<p>Click Here: <a href='https:\/\/www.realivegolf.com\/' title='Golf Equipment Online'>Golf Equipment Online<\/a><\/p>\n<p>An appreciative Hart said he would reconsider his decision to return as host. By Friday afternoon, Hart had told <em>Variety<\/em> that it wasn&#8217;t going to happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWould I ever do it? No, it\u2019s done. It\u2019s done,\u201d said Hart. \u201cThe moment came and it was a blessing and I was excited at the opportunity and I still am. In my mind I got the job, it was a dream job, and things came up that simply prohibited it from happening. But I don\u2019t believe in going backwards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hart announced in December, merely two days after being hired for the job, that he was stepping down as Oscars host over concerns that he would be a\u00a0distraction. \u201cI sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past,\u201d said Hart.<\/p>\n<p>Hart wrote so-called homophobic remarks on Twitter mostly between 2009-2011, including one in which he\u00a0said: \u201cYo if my son comes home &amp; try\u2019s 2 play with my daughters doll house I\u2019m going 2 break it over his head &amp; say n my voice \u2018stop that\u2019s gay.\u2019\u201d It was later deleted. He has also made anti-gay comments in his standup act in the past.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the comedian apologized\u00a0once again for his past quips about the\u00a0LGBTQ community.\u00a0\u201cI will say this, and I want to make this very clear,\u201d Kevin\u00a0said\u00a0during his SiriusXM radio program,\u00a0<em>Straight From the Hart.<\/em>\u00a0\u201cOnce again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community. I apologize.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really had to dive into the whole thing, even the tweets,\u201d he added. \u201cThese weren\u2019t words that I said to gay individuals. I didn\u2019t say these words to people, at the time, this was our dumb asses on Twitter going back and forth with each other. We thought it was okay to talk like that, because that\u2019s how we talked to one another. In that, you go, fuck!
