An Army jawan was allegedly shot dead by a person in full public view in a market in the Cantonment area in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh,after the former opposed the sexual harassment of a fellow Army man’s wife. Lance Naik Anil Kumar was shot at about 1 pm at BI Bazaar by Dhruv Chaudhary. Both are residents of Kori Mohalla in Sadar Bazaar of the Cantonment’s civil area. Anil was rushed to the military hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n

According to police officers, Dhruv’s brother Rajesh had passed lewd remarks on a woman, who is the wife of an Army subedar, who Anil knew well.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
