Maurizio Sarri reportedly held peace talks with his Chelsea players at training on Monday following their 2-0 loss to Arsenal.<\/p>\n

In his post-match press conference, Sarri was heavily critical of the performance and said his players are ‘difficult to motivate’.<\/p>\n

Using a translator to ensure his message was made clear, the 60-year-old vented his frustrations.<\/p>\n

“I’m really angry about the approach that we adopted today,” Sarri said. “It’s an approach we can’t really accept.<\/p>\n

“This defeat was due to our mentality, more than anything else. This is something I can’t accept.<\/p>\n

“This group of players are extremely difficult to motivate.”<\/p>\n

According to The Times, Sarri held talks with his squad at Chelsea training on Monday to clear the air after making his comments.<\/p>\n

First-half goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny meant it was a fourth defeat of the season for Chelsea and leaves them just three points ahead of Arsenal in the race for Champions League football.<\/p>\n

With the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham to come on Thursday, Sarri has attempted to smooth things over with his squad as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit and progress to the final.<\/p>\n

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes Sarri knows it is only a matter of time before he will be sacked by the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cSarri knows he\u2019s going to get sacked at some point in the next 18 months or two years,” Neville told Sky Sports. “That\u2019s inevitable at Chelsea.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe may as well call it how he sees it in the first six months when he\u2019s got a little bit of control. It\u2019s just a dressing room which can turn it on and off like a tap, it\u2019s been able to do that for years.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cSarri\u00a0has probably thought he\u2019s an experienced guy, he\u2019s been around the block, and thinks he doesn\u2019t need to take it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to say normally I would always say it\u2019s not right to call out your players.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we\u2019re going to see more of it, there\u2019s no doubt in the next five or 10 years.<\/p>\n
