She also learned that things are a bit different than what she was used to growing up in Washington and attending public school.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI went to this private school where they had all the parents sit around in a circle\u2014and I don\u2019t know anybody\u2014and there were a bunch of toys in the middle of a circle and we were supposed to pick a toy out and talk about the weather,\u201d Faris explained. \u201cThat was the only instruction.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The actress went first, but admits she ended up going on a tangent about how nervous she was about Jack going to school and the possibility of getting rejected.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m realizing as I\u2019m saying this, I\u2019m putting my foot in my mouth, so I pass the bear on to the next person and she\u2019s like, \u2018Well, it\u2019s pretty sunny outside for me,\u2019 \u201d Faris recalls, adding that the rest of the parents followed the directions and spoke only about the weather.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to run out of there so fast,\u201d Faris says. \u201cAnyway, we got rejected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ellen DeGeneres jokes in reply, \u201cI could have told you that about 2 minutes ago!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite the intimidating school application process, though, Faris says her son is doing well despite her split from Chris Pratt last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Jack]\u2019s amazing and he is so happy and sweet and he\u2019s surrounded by love,\u201d she tells the host.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Faris previously opened up about how she and Pratt, 38, parent their son, telling <i>Extra<\/i> in January that she and the <i>Guardians of the Galaxy <\/i>actor have remained friends and that both believe co-parenting is \u201chugely important.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED: Anna Faris Explains Why She Got a Boob Job Right After Her Divorce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are great and there\u2019s so much friendship and love, and we surround Jack with love, and funny, kind, happy people,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd as a result, he is really happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat Chris and I try to do is to communicate openly,\u201d the actress told <em>Women\u2019s Health<\/em> for its May cover. \u201cWe reiterate that there aren\u2019t rules to this.
