Designer Stefano Pilati is trading the traditional runway for an installation to present YSL AW08 men’s collection. Pilati decided to go for an innovative video art installation instead. With the installation, Pilati wants to make the experience of a collection more intimate by reducing the distance between viewer and product. Pilati collaborated with directors Sarah Chatfield and Chris Sweeney of the London-based production company Colonel Blimp. The video features acclaimed British actor Simon Woods, who’s the star of the show and shall be wearing the collection. The video will premiere Wednesday evening on January 16 in Paris, after which we’ll probably see it floating around Facebook and YouTube.<\/p>\n
