James Milner’s red card against Crystal Palace on Saturday was no ordinary sending off.<\/p>\n
It wasn’t anything due to the ferocity of his challenge on Wilfried Zaha – more the face he was dismissed by his old primary school teacher!<\/p>\n
Referee Jon Moss had no choice, but to send the Liverpool man off as Milner was already on a yellow card when he did the late tackle on Zaha.<\/p>\n
But Milner actually walked off before Moss – or Mr Moss as he probably knew him – brandished the card suggesting the England international is very aware of the referee’s approach to discipline!<\/p>\n
However, Milner’s dismissal didn’t affect the result for his side as Liverpool battled to a 4-3 win.<\/p>\n
Former England player Milner, 33, went to Westbrook Primary School in Horsforth, Yorkshire.<\/p>\n
He then went on to attend Horsforth School where Milner bagged himself 11 GCSE’s, which includes an outstanding performance in PE, despite breaking through as a Premier League star with Leeds aged 16.<\/p>\n
And evidence surfaced on social media showing Moss and Milner’s time together in the same junior school team – with the now referee as the coach and Milner (who is holding the football) as captain.<\/p>\n
After the sending off, Milner is suspended for Liverpool’s next Premier League game – a home match against Leicester on January 30.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
