The vintage ornament, a small green flower, was a gift from former\u00a0President Barack Obama\u00a0and former\u00a0First Lady Michelle Obama\u00a0during their state visit in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The Obamas\u00a0reportedly hand-picked the personal gift\u2014which featured 14-karat yellow gold, diamonds and moss agate\u2014at Washington D.C.\u2019s Tiny Jewel Box store.<\/p>\n<p>Queen Elizabeth wore the brooch during the Obamas\u2019 visit\u00a0for a reciprocal dinner at Winfield House in London following the state visit.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<p>Click Here: <a href='https:\/\/www.rwcstore.com\/cardiff-blues.html' title='Cardiff Blues Store'>Cardiff Blues Store<\/a><\/p>\n<p><p>Yui Mok &#8211; PA Images<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Despite reports that\u00a0Prince Charles\u00a0and\u00a0Prince William\u00a0\u201crefused to attend\u201d\u00a0Friday\u2019s royal meeting\u00a0with President Trump and First Lady\u00a0Melania Trump,\u00a0a\u00a0palace spokesperson tells <em>People<\/em> that the heirs to the throne were\u00a0never supposed to take part.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn line with standard practice for guest of government visits the President was received by The Queen as Head of State. The arrangements were mutually agreed between the Palace and the U.K. and U.S. governments,\u201d the spokesperson says. \u201cThere was never a suggestion that other members of the royal family would take part.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adds Dickie Arbiter, former spokesman for the Queen and author of\u00a0<em>On Duty with the Queen<\/em>, \u201cIt was always going to be a short visit and as soon as you have too many people it gets longer. It was a courtesy call\u2014that\u2019s all it was.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Trumps were welcomed at the Quadrangle of the castle, where a Guard of Honor gave a royal salute and the U.S. national anthem was played. The Queen and President Trump inspected the Guard of Honor before watching the military march past. Tens of thousands of\u00a0protesters marched through the streets of London\u2014about 20 miles from Windsor Castle\u2014it what was dubbed \u201cThe Stop Trump March.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Carrying signs that read \u201cTrump Not Welcome\u201d and \u201cDump Trump,\u201d the crowd made it clear that not everyone in the U.K. supported the country\u2019s diplomacy.<\/p>\n<p>William,\u00a0Kate Middleton\u00a0and\u00a0Prince Harry\u00a0hosted\u00a0President Obama\u00a0and First Lady Michelle Obama\u00a0for a private dinner in 2016, with Harry warmly greeting the first lady with a double kiss.<\/p>\n<p>Memorably,\u00a0Prince George\u00a0stayed up late to greet the commander-in-chief\u00a0clad in a bathrobe, matching gingham blue pajamas and slippers before taking a ride a rocking horse\u2014a gift from the Obamas when he was born.<\/p>\n<p>The special evening\u2014which followed\u00a0lunch Buckingham Palace with the Queen\u2014was arranged by William on behalf of all three royals, and \u201cthey were delighted that [the First Couple] were able to accept,\u201d a palace source told <em>People<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:\u00a0The Brits Are Extremely Committed to These Wild Anti-Trump Protest Looks<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe three of them have built up a relationship with the President and First Lady over the years,\u201d added the source.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, William\u00a0visited the Oval Office, where he and President Obama discussed the campaign to\u00a0clamp down on illegal wildlife trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Harry also hosted Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha\u2014along with grandma Marian Robinson\u2014for\u00a0tea at Kensington Palace\u00a0back in June 2015.\u00a0In October 2015, the Obamas played host to a visiting Prince Harry\u2014where the chemistry between Michelle and the royal was\u00a0on adorable display.<\/p>\n<p>The former president and his\u00a0former Vice President\u00a0Joe Biden\u00a0also\u00a0showed support for Harry\u2019s\u00a0Invictus Games\u00a0in September. President Trump did not attend the event in Toronto, but First Lady\u00a0Melania Trump\u00a0did.
