Much-loved commentator John Motson has criticised\u00a0Marko Arnautovic\u00a0for his desire to move to China.<\/p>\n
The West Ham striker recently revealed he wanted to leave the Hammers\u00a0amid reports of a \u00a335million bid from an unnamed Chinese Super League side.<\/p>\n
Reports claim Arnautovic could earn up to \u00a3400,000 in China, and at 29 years old he feels it\u2019s too good an offer to turn down.<\/p>\n
But Motson has admitted it “does not sit well” with him when top players want to leave the Premier League.<\/p>\n
The talkSPORT broadcaster said: “This is like Dimitri Payet all over again, where West Ham just get on a nice roll and then the best player wants to leave.<\/p>\n
“I think it tells you something when a top player would rather play in China than play in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
“Now I’m only saying that for footballing reasons – of course, it’s the money. It doesn’t sit well with me, really. Not when he’s only just gone there and they’ve given him a good contract.<\/p>\n
“I mean the Premier League is supposed to be the best league in the world now.”<\/p>\n
