{"id":1587,"date":"2019-06-18T01:19:12","date_gmt":"2019-06-18T01:19:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportsnewsforyou.com\/?p=1587"},"modified":"2019-06-18T01:19:12","modified_gmt":"2019-06-18T01:19:12","slug":"brookdales-moore-wins-2019-schutt-sports-nfca-njcaa-iii-national-player-of-the-year-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/googmn.com\/?p=1587","title":{"rendered":"Brookdale\u2019s Moore wins 2019 Schutt Sports\/NFCA NJCAA III National Player of the Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOUISVILLE, Ky. \u2014 The NFCA is pleased to announce that Brookdale Community College freshman third baseman Shakyra Moore has been chosen as the 2019 Schutt Sports\/NFCA NJCAA Division III National Player of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Moore was a force at the plate this season for the Jersey Blues, earning NFCA All-America honors in her first collegiate season, and leading NJCAA Division III in home runs (25) and total bases (169).<\/p>\n<p>Click Here: <a href='https:\/\/www.wbsstore.com\/re-kanken-mini' title='fjallraven kanken backpack'>fjallraven kanken backpack<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Brielle, N.J., product ranked third nationally in runs batted in (81), fourth in runs scored (68), sixth in slugging percentage (.988), and ninth in doubles (19).<\/p>\n<p>For the season, Moore hit .439 with 75 hits, 14 walks, and just seven strikeouts in 189 plate appearances, to help Brookdale go 45-11 and reach the NJCAA Division III championship in May at the McQuillan Complex in Rochester, Minn. The Jersey Blues\u2019 only losses at that event were to six-time champion Rock Valley in the semifinals and eventual runner-up Herkimer on the first day.<\/p>\n<p>The Schutt Sports\/NFCA NJCAA Division III National Player of the Year recipient is selected by the NFCA\u2019s NJCAA Division III All-American Committee, which chooses one of its All-Americans for this honor.
