LOUISVILLE, Ky. \u2013 <\/b>Makenzie Stiles of Deposit (N.Y.) High School , Molly Carney of Howell (Mich.) High School and Alyssa Pfadenhauer of Danville (Iowa) High School were selected MaxPreps \/ NFCA National High School Players of the Week for their outstanding play during the week of June 3-9.<\/p>\n

East Region
<\/b>In a 6-1 win over Eldred, Stiles struck out 17 in a complete-game performance. She allowed a run on three hits and did not walk a batter. Stiles also helped herself out offensively, going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.<\/p>\n

North Region
<\/b>Carney posted a 3-0 mark and a 0.00 ERA last week. She twirled a pair of shutouts and struck out 33 over 21 innings of work. She tossed a two-hit shutout with 16 punchouts and no walks in a  4-0 win over St. Joseph. Carney followed that up with a five-hit blanking of Gull Lake with nine strikeouts in a 1-0 triumph. <\/p>\n

South Central Region
<\/b>Pfadenhauer hit .733 (11-for-15) with a double, triple, home run and 10 runs scored. The senior drew three walks, posted an .800 on-base percentage and slugged 1.133. She scored multiple times in four contests and record three multi-hit games. Pfadenhauer collected three hits against New London and Cardinal, and scored three times versus Centerville. She launched her first long ball of the season against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.<\/p>\n

2018-19 Players of the Week<\/p>\n

MaxPreps.com, the official high school statistical provider of the NFCA, provides all statistics for the NFCA High School Player of the Week award. To nominate a player for the award, the coach must enter his or her athlete’s game stats into MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week\u2019s award.<\/p>\n

The MaxPreps\/NFCA High School Players of the Week are announced on NFCA.orgevery Monday during the spring campaign with a player from each of five separate high school regions being selected. In the fall season, one representative is chosen from the participating regions.<\/p>\n
