Normally when people on the Internet say \u201cSo-and-so destroyed so-and-so!\u201d they\u2019re being wildly hyperbolic. But yesterday on Twitter, Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts absolutely body bagged fellow senator and presidential hopeful Ted Cruz. He got merc\u2019d. Eviscerated. And Warren took him down with pure, cold facts.<\/p>\n
It started on Monday when Cruz sent out a campaign e mail enumerating all the sacrifices entailed in running for the highest office in the land (or at least tripping your way through the process of trying<\/em> to run for the highest office in the land). \u201cThe constant attacks never stop,\u201d he redundantly wrote. \u201cTime with my family is non-existent,\u201d he lamented, as though he didn\u2019t choose to run but was forced to like some Manchurian candidate. But, through it all, he assured his \u201cfriends\u201d that he is \u201cwilling to make the sacrifices despite \u2013 the high cost\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Well, Senator Warren apparently saw this tear-soaked tissue and decided it was time to clap back\u00a0with the following string of tweets:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Don\u2019t hurt him, Elizabeth!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Someone ring the damn bell! She\u2019s going to kill him!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n And then in the 12th round she delivered the final punch:<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Ding ding ding ding ding! The winner by knockout, from the blue corner, is Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massechusetts. We suspect Ted Cruz is somewhere recovering from his inuries today. It\u2019s too bad the Cruz family has to see him this way.
