As reported by RMC, Ligue 1 side Bordeaux are set to request the postponement of their Friday night league game with Marseille this week due to their squad’s ongoing battle with Covid.<\/p>\n

21 first team players were unavailable due to testing positive for the virus ahead of the club’s Coupe de France game with Brest at the weekend. A team largely made up of youth team and reserve players lost to the fellow Ligue 1 side 3-0.<\/p>\n

However, with stricter rules on Covid availability in the Ligue 1 – with 20 of a 30 player list needing to be available for the game to be played, the club are looking to call off the match. The match is a far more important one as FCGB battle against relegation and look to preserve a 44 year unbeaten home record against OM.<\/p>\n
