{"id":10544,"date":"2022-06-15T12:17:54","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T12:17:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/googmn.com\/?p=10544"},"modified":"2022-06-15T12:17:54","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T12:17:54","slug":"these-allegations-are-simply-not-true-man-city-vow-to-fight-two-year-european-ban-and-e30m-fine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/googmn.com\/?p=10544","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;These allegations are simply not true&#8217; &#8211; Man City vow to fight two-year European ban and \u20ac30m fine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MANCHESTER CITY CHIEF executive Ferran Soriano has denied claims that the Premier League champions broke the rules over Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.<\/p>\n<p>City were on Friday given a two-season ban from European football and fined \u20ac30 million euros (\u00a324.9m) for breaching financial regulations, but have vowed to fight the verdict of a Uefa investigation into accounts submitted by the club between 2012 and 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese allegations are simply not true,\u201d Sorriano said in a video interview on the club\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe owner has not put money in this club that has not been properly declared.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are a sustainable football club, we are profitable, we don\u2019t have debt, our accounts have been scrutinised many times, by auditors, by regulators, by investors and this is perfectly clear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>City, who have referred the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas), have also been accused of not cooperating with the process.<\/p>\n<p>But Soriano said: \u201cWe did cooperate with this process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe delivered a long list of documents and support that we believe is irrefutable evidence that the claims are not true and it was hard because we did this in the context of information being leaked to the media in the context of feeling that every step of the way, every engagement we had, we felt that we were considered guilty before anything was even discussed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut at the end, this is an internal process that has been initiated and then prosecuted and then judged by this FFP chamber at Uefa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Click Here: <a href='https:\/\/www.jerstores.com\/new-zealand-rugby\/maori-all-blacks-rugby-jersey' title='maori all blacks rugby jersey'>maori all blacks rugby jersey<\/a><\/p>\n<p>City responded to Uefa\u2019s decision on Friday by calling it a \u201cprejudiced process\u201d and Soriano said: \u201cOf course a lot of people come now and say, well what were you expecting? This is the way it works.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUltimately based on our experience and our perception this seems to be less about justice and more about politics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe went to Cas mid-process because it was clear to us that we were not having a fair process and we were concerned. We were specifically concerned about the leaks, the constant leak of information.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe process has finished now, we are going to Cas again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Soriano said City are looking for an \u201cearly resolution\u201d to the matter and hopes that it will be resolved before the start of summer.<\/p>\n<p>He added that it was not an issue for manager Pep Guardiola or the players to comment on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, he [Guardiola] has been kept informed about this process but this is not something for him to respond to,\u201d Soriano said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is focused on the football, he is focusing on the game, the game at hand, the game today ]against West Ham], tomorrow and the next weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs well as the players\u2026 They are calm, they are focused and this matter is more a business matter, a legal matter than a football matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The42 is on Instagram!
