MANCHESTER UNITED have reignited their interest in Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to reports.<\/p>\n
The centre-back, 24, has been on United's transfer radar since 2018, when Jose Mourinho was manager.<\/p>\n
The former manager reportedly watched the centre-back in action and the club have been fans ever since.<\/p>\n
A deal has never been worked out due to Fiorentina's desire to keep him.<\/p>\n
But now the Red Devils could sign the Serbian for as little as \u00a313million, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.<\/p>\n
United could face competition for Milenkovic from Italian champions Inter Milan.<\/p>\n
Liverpool and Tottenham were also linked with the defender last summer after Milenkovic revealed he would not be signing a new contract.<\/p>\n
Arsenal were also said to be interested before signing Ben White.<\/p>\n
But Milenkovic is reportedly open to an Old Trafford switch with his current deal expiring in 2023.<\/p>\n
That means Fiorentina could be willing to finally sell, knowing next summer is their last opportunity to fetch a decent fee for the star.<\/p>\n
