MOURNEABBEY\u2019S LADIES FOOTBALLERS have completed a remarkable three-in-a-row with a thrilling one-point victory in today\u2019s Cork championship final against St Val\u2019s.<\/p>\n
The Clyda side have been defeated in the last two All-Ireland finals but keep coming back for more.<\/p>\n
Today\u2019s result also compounds the misery of Val\u2019s who have now lost in three successive county finals to Mourneabbey who had county stars Ciara and Doireann O\u2019Sullivan among their ranks.<\/p>\n
It was an evening full of drama at CIT, Mourneabbey\u2019s Ellie Jack getting the first goal of the game with just one minute on the clock.<\/p>\n
Jack added another in the first half and Mourneabbey were well in control at half-time, leading 3-3 to 1-4.<\/p>\n
The champions couldn\u2019t shake off Briege Corkery\u2019s Val\u2019s though, who kept chipping away at their lead.<\/p>\n
